The IDM Islamic Private School provides a safe and nurturing environment where academic excellence is combined with strong Islamic values. Many learners come from underprivileged backgrounds, and the school serves as a place of stability, guidance, and hope for the community.

To sustain this work, the school requires R30,000 per month to cover essential costs including utilities, maintenance, learning materials, and staff salaries.

Calculating your Zakat isn't as difficult as you may think. We find that breaking your assets down into different categories makes the Zakat calculation process really simple.

We have broken down the calculation process into Zakatable assets (gold, silver, cash, savings, business assets etc.) and Deductible liabilities (money you owe, other outgoings due) so you can calculate the Zakat you owe easily.

The amount of Zakat you need to pay will be determined once you have calculated the value of your net assets. You then need to see whether your net assets are equal to, or exceed the threshold.

Across our IDM Islamic Centres, many students come to learn  but often with empty stomachs.

Through this Bread Campaign, we aim to provide daily bread to students, ensuring they are nourished, focused, and able to benefit fully from their Islamic and academic education.

Winter poses a severe threat to vulnerable communities, particularly displaced families, orphans, and those living in extreme poverty. For these individuals, the cold is more than an inconvenience it can be life-threatening. The IDM Winter Warm Campaign  is dedicated to delivering essential winter kits to those in need, providing warmth and hope in their most challenging times.

 

The Urgent Need

In Southern Africa, winter's harsh conditions leave many struggling to survive. Families without proper shelter, warm clothing, or heating face freezing temperatures, putting children, the elderly, and the ill at significant risk of hypothermia, respiratory illnesses, and malnutrition.

Whats in a Winter Kit?

Each winter kit is thoughtfully prepared to meet the urgent needs of struggling families. These kits include:

• Winter Clothing Kits: Warm jackets, gloves, scarves, socks, and hats.
• Blanket Kits: Thick, durable blankets for nighttime warmth.
• Heating Kits: Firewood, heaters, or other materials to provide life-saving heat.
