Help Us Put the Quran in Every Home

The Quran guides us and teaches us how to live. It brings mercy and helps people improve their lives. When someone can read the Quran in a language they understand, it helps them grow stronger in faith and understand the message of Allah better.

In Southern Africa and other areas, many families still do not have a Quran they can read and understand. Many homes, madrassahs, and new Muslims need a Quran in their own language.

Alhamdulillah, the Islamic Dawah Movement has translated the Quran into nine languages:

Afrikaans
Xhosa
Zulu
Sotho
Setswana
Chichewa
Yao
Portuguese
Runyankore (Uganda)

These translations help people understand Islam clearly and feel closer to the Quran.

This Ramadan, during the Month of Quran, we plan to print 5,000 more copies in each language. Our aim is simple: no home, no madrassah, and no new Muslim should be without a Quran they can understand. All sponsored Qurans are given free to those in need.

Feed the Fasting - Share the Blessings of Ramadan

Ramadan is a month of mercy, kindness, and giving. Feeding a fasting person brings great reward and blessings.

Through the Ramadan Iftaar Saa'im Programme, the Islamic Dawah Movement of Southern Africa (IDM) supports fasting people and struggling families during the blessed month.

For over 20 years, this programme has been running in more than 50 townships and masjids. Alhamdulillah, it has helped thousands of people by making sure no one breaks their fast hungry.

The Messenger of Allah said:
"The Prophet was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

Areas and Communities Served

The programme runs in many areas, including:

Isipofu, Mabheleni, Marianridge, Umzumbe, Kwapata, Ngcobo, Umlazi, Zilweleni, Amandawe, Hombe, Mgezwa, Ndimbaneni, Mcwabantsasa, Mfazazana, Khayelitsha, Maboloka, Mthimde, South Beach, Flagstaff, and Machinga (Malawi).

Many families in these areas depend on this support during Ramadan.
