universe. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),
his family, and all his companions.
The Islamic Dawah Movement (IDM) is
dedicated to bridging language barriers that limit access to the Quran. We are
excited to announce our Xhosa Quran campaign - a further reprint of the Quran in
the Xhosa translation, in Southern Africa, making Allah's guidance accessible
to Southern Africa's Xhosa-speaking community. With your support, we can bring
the light of the Quran to this community and enhance their connection with the
message of Islam.
IDM has printed and freely distributed to
those in need, over 160 000 Mushafs (Qurans) in local (Southern African
translations, of which 16 000 were in the Xhosa translation. This will be
a reprint of the Xhosa translation.
Why the Xhosa Translation Matters
The Quran says:
"And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of
his people to clarify for them."
(Surah Ibrahim 14:4)
The Xhosa language is spoken by over 9
million people in Southern Africa. Despite the growing number of Muslims and
seekers of knowledge in this community, access to the Quran has been limited,
often restricted to English, a language that remains challenging for many Xhosa
speakers. This translation represents a bridge to understanding, giving
Xhosa-speaking communities the opportunity to read and connect with Allah's
words in their mother tongue.
A Unique Opportunity for Outreach and

This Xhosa translation is a beacon of
understanding and an invitation to reflect on Allah's guidance. It will enable
Xhosa speakers to contemplate and follow the teachings of Islam. As Muslims, it
is also our responsibility to continue valuing Arabic, the original language of
the Quran. This translation serves as a guide.
Our Goal: R230 000
To print and distribute the Xhosa Quran, we
aim to raise R230 000. With this, we can provide thousands of copies to
underserved communities and support additional translation efforts. Join us in

3000 copies of Mushafs (Qurans).
