Help Rebuild the House of Allah, One Brick at a Time! A Call to Action for Our Beloved Community
Join Us in Building Faith and Nurturing Community - Support the Umzumbe Musjid!
The Umzumbe Musjid and Islamic Centre is more than a place of worship - it is the heart of our community, a sanctuary for faith, learning, and support. Recent heavy rains have damaged the centre, making it clear that we need urgent repairs and expansion to continue serving our growing congregation. We need your help to uplift our beloved Musjid and create a space that better serves our brothers and sisters in faith. Join us in this vital initiative!Â
 Why Your Contribution Is EssentialÂ
 1. Expanding Our Prayer SpaceÂ
Our congregation is growing, Alhamdulillah, but our prayer area is limited. With your help, we will:Â
- Expand the main prayer hall to welcome more worshipers.Â
- Create dedicated spaces for Sisters, ensuring their comfort and dignity.Â
- Install modern audio-visual systems for effective communication during khutbahs and lectures.Â
- Improve accessibility for our elderly and differently-abled members.Â
 Â
2. Supporting Education and Skills DevelopmentÂ
To build a thriving Ummah, we must nurture knowledge. Your donation will allow us to:Â
- Build new classrooms equipped with modern resources for learning.Â
- Establish a Maktabah (library) for spiritual and academic growth.Â
- Create a computer lab to promote digital literacy and skills development.Â
Â
3. Strengthening Community ConnectionsÂ
The mosque is a central point for community support and bonding. Together, we can:Â
- Offer counseling services for youth and families.Â
- Expand our food bank and Zakat programs to aid those in need.Â
- Build a multipurpose hall for community gatherings, educational events, and Nikahs.Â
Guided by FaithÂ
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:Â Â Â
"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, even as small as a bird's nest, Allah will build for them a house in Paradise."Â (Sunan Ibn Majah 738)Â Â
Your contribution is Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will benefit not only this generation but future ones, InshaAllah.Â
 Â
Our Target: R150 000.00
We need to raise R150 000.00Â to bring this vision to life:Â
- R100 000.00 for renovation and expansion of the prayer area, ceilings and other areas within the Musjid/Islamic Centre.
- R30 000.00 for educational resources and classrooms.Â
- R20 000.00Â for community outreach services.Â
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference in building a stronger community.Â

The Gift of Water: A Sadaqah Jariyah That Saves Lives
HE GIFT OF WATER - A SADAQAH JARIYAH THAT SAVES LIVES

Allah says:
"We made from water every living thing."

THE QURAN TRANSLATED INTO CHICHEWA - BRINGING ALLAH'S MESSAGE TO MILLIONS
For just R100, gift the light of the Quran in Chichewa to a soul seeking guidance.
"And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?"
(Quran 54:17)
Join the Islamic Dawah Movement of Southern Africa (IDMSA) in this mission to share the Quran in Chichewa - the heart language of over 25 million people across Southern Africa.
Many Chichewa-speaking communities do not have access to the Quran in their own language. Your support helps remove this barrier and allows them to understand Allah's message clearly. To achieve this, we aim to raise R200,000 to print and distribute 2,000 Qurans.Sponsorship Options

Provide Daily Bread To Young Underpriviledged Learners
Across our IDM Islamic Centres, many students come to learn but often with empty stomachs.
Through this Bread Campaign, we aim to provide daily bread to students, ensuring they are nourished, focused, and able to benefit fully from their Islamic and academic education.
A simple loaf can make a powerful difference.
Why This Matters
1.Many students come from disadvantaged homes.
2.Some rely on the centre as their only consistent meal source.
3.Hunger affects concentration, learning, and well-being.
By feeding a student, you are supporting both their education and their dignity.
Your Impact
R200 Feeds multiple students with daily bread
R400 Sustains bread distribution across a centre
R1,000 Supports large groups of students
Every contribution helps provide fresh bread daily at IDM centres.

Your donation supports students at IDM centres across:
KwaZulu-Natal

IDM ISLAMIC PRIVATE SCHOOL – MARIANNHILL
IDM ISLAMIC PRIVATE SCHOOL - MARIANHILL Sustaining Quality Islamic Education Through Your Charity
Location: Marianhill, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
The IDM Islamic Private School provides a safe and nurturing environment where academic excellence is combined with strong Islamic values. Many learners come from underprivileged backgrounds, and the school serves as a place of stability, guidance, and hope for the community.
Allah says: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills." (Quran 2:261)
To sustain this work, the school requires R30,000 per month to cover essential costs including utilities, maintenance, learning materials, and staff salaries.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Charity does not decrease wealth." (Sahih Muslim)
This project is Zakaah-eligible. We accept Zakaah, Sadaqah, and Lillah.
